AA2200 for 223

I can't seem to find load data for AA220 using 62 grain FMJ. These are Armscore bullets. So I've approximated the recipe from data that exists.

I am using 20.1 grains of AA2200.

Prior, I was using 23 grains to propel a 55 grain FMJ projectile, and it cycled and ran fine.

What do you guys think of this recipe for use in an AR?

I've loaded 40 rounds as a test tonight.

The current Western Powders Guide lists 19.5 to 21.7 gr. for the Mil 855 bullet.

I just pulled the data from the on line manual. Look it up and download the PDF.

AA 2200. Strange that your manual doesn't show AA2200, Keybear.

The online data does not have data for this specific bullet. FMJ 62 grain.

AA2200 cycles the 55 grain 223 load quite well.



Armscore bullets have a reputation for being inaccurate. That's true. They're real good for plinking, full auto, or rapid fire; just don't expect MOA accuracy. They can be purchased in bulk for like 5c-6c each if purchased in bulk.

Bullet weights are all over the place.
