My roommate and I are going to the gunstore after class. He's going to buy his first rifle, an AK variant.

*sniff* I'm so proud of him! LOL

Ph33r not, though, he is familliar with the AK, and is in the Guards with me, so he's no stranger to riflecraft.

Not sure what kind he's gonna get. I think he's going to get that converted Saiga 7.62x39mm from Federal Arms, but he might get an SAR in .223.

It is done

My roomie ordered the Saiga (converted to take regular AK mags, and with pistol grip stock).

I ordered the VEPR II .308. It'll take six weeks before they can ship it, so I put down a $100 deposit. The dealer transfer fees are $40.00 at the local gun store, so I'll be looking forward to that.

Total cost will be less than $700.00. :)
