I bought a cheap tool that has done wonders on small frozen up screws of all types, set screws, small bolts and nuts on guns and all things. It fits these driver sets with all of the different bits and does a great job on those that do not want to move.
It is a "Impact Driver Set" item 93481 sold by Harbor Freight for $5.99.It shocks the fastener as it applies torque by tapping gently on the small fasteners as it turns it.Best of all it works with a multitude of different bits.I have a 100 bit set with all the bits that I have seen and many that I had not also bought cheaply there that works great. The 100 bit set also has a 1/4 in. drive adapter to fit 1/4 inch drive sockets.
I have a 1/2 inch Craftsman Impact Driver that I have used for Aluminum Motorcycle fittings to farm fertilizer distributors for years.I treasure it too.
As a life long mechanic,I made my living with expensive professional lines of tools. It is nice to find something cheap that works great. If it doesn't hold up for 25 years like my Craftsman Driver,it has already paid for itself.I listed where I bought it and the item number so that others could see what I was talking about. There may very well be other makes and brands that are far better.I just know this works, but did not know they came in small sizes for use on small fasteners.
