A veritable frenzy of Dick Specials...

I got some Badger grips for my Detective Specials and DS-II and thought I'd show them off. They feel great on the guns and certainly lend them a new twist of character. Here's how they look:

:) Very nice indeed. By looking at the weapons I believe you are a collector. It does not look like any of them are CCW's. What do you carry (if) for your everday protection.???

Superhornet... I am most definitely an "accumulator"... and I shoot all of my guns, none, well none but one Detective Special, are safe queens. But I buy them in excellent condition and I keep them that way. My most frequently carried guns are these:

I also carry, from time to time, a Ruger SP-101 3", Ruger GP-100 3", Kahr PM-9, Colt Combat Commander, Colt Lightweight Commander, Kimber Compact CDP Series 1, and every once in a while a Model 65 3", Detective Special, 66 2.5". I work at home, so I've always got a couple of handguns or one sort or another around me on the desk, in a drawer, glove box of the car, etc. Some of my "carry" is Mexican carry in the small of my back... I often go to the store or out to dinner with a revo tucked back there.

Since I have a good number of guns to pick from for carry, none of them sees much noticible wear, and usually, but not always, I use stainless guns for carry and they generally don't show much wear at all.

When riding my motorcycles (I do a lot of this) I have either the 642 or the PM-9 inside my motorcycle jacket pocket... so light and small I'm not even aware I have it on me.

I think I am going to have to invest in a set of Badger grips for my recently acquired Detective Special. Was there any lag time between order and arrival of the grips?
