A thank you letter from Katherine Harris

I just wanted to pass this along since so many here were in support of her during the election. I imagine it has been a difficult time for her.

Here I am, a nobody from out west, not even a resident of her state, and her office took the time to read one of what must have been thousands of e-mails, and respond.

Granted, it's a form letter, but she's a class act nonetheless.

Dear Fellow Citizen:

Thank you for your encouragement and support. I am deeply humbled by the compassionate communications we have received.

Your kind words and generous advice have been an inspiration to the employees of the Florida Department of State and to me. We have worked diligently to execute our responsibilities for the citizens of our state with independence, deliberation and integrity.

It is my sincerest hope that this great nation will unite under the rule of law. Thank you again for your support and may God bless America.

Yours truly,

Katherine Harris

Ken:

I just received the same note. You are correct, she is a class act. It is too bad the recent unpleasantness may have cost her a chance at a deserved appointment to a Federal post.

Me two, since I sent two e-mails to her from different programs. The thank you notes are a touch of class that none of the current administration could ever match or would even think of.

Ditto ...

I was also impressed to receive a response ... especially such a polite note. Definitely a class act.

Regards from AZ

I'm sorry I'm a little behind on things, the end of the semester has been pretty crazy, due to the fact I'm teaching and taking several classes. Does anyone have a link handy, so I could send an email showing my support.

Thanks.

Got the same letter myself today. Even though I'm sure everyone who sent their support got the same message, it gave me a nice feeling to think they took the time out to reply. Kinda makes you feel like you matter after all.

It's amazing- sometimes polliticians are actually human. It's so easy to think they are just faces on the nightly news. I've gotten a pretty good responce out of those I've written to. I'm sure most of us a TFL are active in writing, but we need to stay that way!

I live here in AZ, and after sending e-mail and a few message threads regarding the recent Mesa gun shop raids to Arizona Senator Kyle, I got a personal phone call from him! (His words were very encouraging, I might add). Send a couple letters to Sec. of State in another state, and you get a responce also!

This should be a wake up call. These people DO take notice. I feel very confident that if even 50% of gun owners in our country began writing our legislature (state and federal) and a few others (Pres, VP, Governor, Mayor, you name it) with our concerns, this damn 'gun rights' battle would be over and done with. I don't know where to start, but I'd be on-board with a national campaign to set aside a week... just one week... where every gun member writes every gov't official they can think of to voice their concern. It would make one hell of a dent.

Keep it up all!

-Jest
