Hi all, I'm doing a survey for my statistics class, and thought that some of you would like to help. Please answer the questions for me. If you aren't comfortable putting the info on here, feel free to email me at harlenm@att.net
thanks
1)how many guns do you own?(both handguns and long guns)
2)are you male/female?
3)Who are you going to vote for pres.?
4)which brand do you have the most of?
thanks again
If you answered this at glocktalk.com, please don't respond here, it will throw off my numbers.

****I understand that some people are paranoid about giving this information. That is the reason why I said that you could email me if you wanted to. The main statistic I'm looking for is the average number of weapons that gun owners own. The rest of the questions are just follow ups so that I have some other things to say about the typical gun owner. Please help me out, I have about half the number that I need, with only a few days left to work on it.******

5 pistols, 86 rifles, two shotguns, in firing condition, not counting non-firing antiques.
Male
George Bush. (He's my governor)
Mostly Remington, maybe 1/3 Winchester. Not counting old military rifles.

1)how many guns do you own?(both handguns and long guns)
--I'll give you a hint. More than 7, less than 9 (if a TC Contender with 2 barrels counts).. if not, then one less. :D
2)are you male/female?
--Male.
3)Who are you going to vote for pres.?
--GWB.
4)which brand do you have the most of?
thanks again

--Smith & Wesson.. sadly enough.

Good luck in your Stats class. I think I got a C this semester. :(

--Browning (actually one of them has the browning name on it but was made by Baretta (sp). Taking that into consideration, I don't have more than one made by the same company.)

The debate is not about guns,
but rather who has the ultimate power to rule,
the People or Government.
RKBA!

The trouble with developing statistics which depend on voluntary participation is that the results are meaningless...they tell you the sort of people that answer impertinent questions without considering consequences, perhaps, but not much else. I'm sure yr. revered stats perfesser told you that.
Many gun owners are understandably a bit paranoid, and don't generally like to advertise the true number or type of guns they may or may not own, so even the voluntary answers you get may be lies.
Paranoid about what? Well...there's the idea that the information could be used by anti-gunners, or the government, or just by commercial interests, in ways that are detrimental to RKBA. And then there's the inadvisability of advertising to potential burglars that you have those portable, valuable commodities in your home. And of course there's the natural reluctance to accomodate a busybody.
I wish you very good fortune in your academic endeavors.

Son, where are those guns you admitted to having on TFL on Bla Bla.....we have records........

just a thought, you know how it is these days.....

1. 2 pistols, 1 rifle
2. Female
3. Bush
4. CZ, S&W, Bushmaster

Good luck! When I took my stats class I did a project on type of pistol vs brand of ammo. I used my hubby's Ruger .22 and a friends Sentinal (?) .22 revolver and a box of Federal and a box of Remington. Got a B+ on the report!

1)how many guns do you own?(both handguns and long guns)

As far as you can tell from the records of the government or store owners, one of each. Of course, I would never be so devious as to buy a gun from a fellow private citizen, thus leaving no paper trail.

2)are you male/female?

No, I'm just male. The guy down the street who wears eye shadow and a Wonderbra is male/female.

3)Who are you going to vote for pres.?

I think I'll write in Carmen Electra. Since the average person gets shafted no matter who's in power, we may as well have somebody worth looking at on C-Span.

4)which brand do you have the most of?

Budweiser, most likely, they had a 12-pack special on the other night.

slabside.. feds prolly already know more than you think.

I'll hand my guns over gladly.. beginning with the ammunition :D

1) I have a total of 17 firearms in the house. Not a lot of "evil" guns, mostly single shot bolt actions, many WW2 guns that will never be fired. As for guns I take to the range, really just one.

2) I have a penis if that helps any ;)

3) Bush...

4) Well, hmm, hard question to answer, pretty much all different brands, I'd have to say Kalashnikov to that one.

5) Cause you didn't ask a fifth question

Lemme see....

1.) 4 handguns, 3 rifles, and 2 shotguns (but I am about to add to that significantly when I get this bonus check in mid-October :D)

2.) I be a little boy.

3.) Either Harry Browne or Howard Phillips. I haven't decided yet.

4.) Glock (2 of my 4 handguns) (Ruger is going to catch up or maybe pull ahead when I get that aforementioned bonus, though.)

Pffft. I have a FOID card. They know all they need to know if they want to come knocking.

1. I own four guns--two handguns, one rifle, one shotgun.

2. Male.

3. Bush. He isn't perfect, but a presidential race is no time to try to get a third party off the ground. Vote for Libertarians for city and state offices.

4. I have four guns and four brands. The one I like the best is the SIG. Taurus is quickly gaining my respect, though.

Let's see...they keep reproducing in the safe...some evil guns too.
