Beginning near the bottom of page 489 of John Ross's Unintended Consequences, and running on for about 1.5 pages, is a "speech" that former President Bush MIGHT have made just prior to the 1992 presidential elections, which he lost. Had that speech been given, and action immediately taken, the election results could have been far different from what they ended up as being.
Obviously, if candidate/governor Bush the younger, were to actually make such a speech, some minor changes would be needed, he is not, at the moment president, though he might be elected.
Making such a speech might cost him some votes, however I believe he would or could gain much more from it, than he might loose. References to this "speech", along with appropriate suggestions can be sent to the governor, in politely worded emails.
If enough of them are received, who knows
