I just wanted to take a moment and thank every one here who has ever served In our countries Armed forces. From every person who has stormed a Beachhead during WWII to the people who refueled the Aircraft during Desert Storm.

And Also I would like to thank their families. The ones that were there to greet them when they returned. And especially the ones who are still waiting for ships that will never again dock, and aircraft that will never again taxi in.

My Hat goes off to you all. May the sacrifices you all have made not be in vain. And may the Blood that has been shed by those before us be a reminder that freedom is not free and it is not easy. But By God it is worth it.

I would like to add to the "thank you", and also say that you are quite welcome.

My twelve-plus years in the Navy come to a close on October 12th. I am looking forward to it with mixed emotions, but I am DEFINITELY looking forward to it.

Keninw,
Thank you...I will convey that message to the 10 other guys in my outfit who didn't make it back from 'Nam...13 of us guys from Hawaii signed up the same day.., we were college friends before we signed up. We all thank you for your thoughts. Mahalo.

Thank you to the others as well. And you're welcome.

Thank You for saying what must never be forgotten.

Many thanks to those who have made their sacrifices for this country. My hat is off to you and yours.

Thanks, Kevinw. Even us REMFs were helping in one way of another, I guess! Sometimes I wish I'd been a little less "RE" though.

Thanks, it does get appreciated when someone says that. Didn't hear it much when I came home in a DC9 air ambulance in '69.

Thanks, Kevinw. We don't hear this often enough, and it needs to be said now, because so many WWII vets are passing on, and ought to hear it one more time before they go.

Thanks Kevinw and all.

When I got out, I spent 4 years as a volunteer County Veterans Assistance Officer, helping other Veterans & family's file claims for assistance. It a shame how little a pension some Veterans get for their service. Just enough to keep them at poverty level.

Thanks too to the LEOs that have served and protected this country honorably.

While I may argue with them, and get mad about their intrusions into people's lives, most of them are good guys just trying to uphold the laws of the land. Just like the soldiers of Vietnam, LEOs often get caught in the middle of stupid political games just like we gun owners.

So thanks veterans and thanks LEOs.

Thanks for caring, my 10 years in the Navy of bad food, bad pay, and being away from my home for months on end, and sweating my butt off in the gulf was worth it, just to say I served ol'Glory.
