Illegal guns that through a stroke of a pen became illegal overnight !
I'm all for calling the police for CRIMINAL activity (did so yesterday) but when does one draw the line?

"Tight gun laws are needed to restrict the availability of weapons and limit the opportunity people of obtaining these weapons"

Nazi Germany circa 1938 maybe?

Nope, our Premier - Monday the 8th of May 2000. :(

HS, do you have any suggestions what to do about those in elected office enacting unconstitutional legislation? Or do you know who they are? They are none other than republicans and democrats, are they not? If you understand the above then you will vote third party come November and tell everyone you know or meet to do likewise, time is short.

I couldn't resist throwin in tuppence worth.

Sir:

When the citizens of a nation are denied the right and means to defend themselves and their property from scofflaws, then they are no longer citizens, they have become dependant serfs.

About forty years ago I had the honour and pleasure to serve with a smallish band of Aussie Marines. They trained hard, played hard and fought well. They rightfully exuded pride in their heritage, their country, their honor and their freedom.

It very much saddens me to think that the survivors of that little group, and others of that ilk, now have to live under the tyranny of the socialist/communist gangsters that are politely called " politicians "

Sam I am, grn egs n packin

Nikita Khrushchev predicted confidently in a speech in Bucharest, Rumania on June 19, 1962 that: " The United States will eventually fly the Communist Red Flag...the American people will hoist it themselves."

C.R. Sam - don't be mistaken, the "socialist gangster" politicians they may be; but they have the full support of > 95% of the population.

Most people in Australia hate freedom and fear the s**t out of guns. And most in the US are being made to feel that way, too.

Here in the US maybe 5% of the military/LEO believe in freedom. In Australia it's close to 0%.

This did not come from the politicians. Remember the last anti you spoke to who was terrified adn would not think rationally? Imagine everyone like that. You are becoming a minority in the US, too.

"Dob in" - yep, and that "collective" term that you just can't do communism without.

quote:
Jews are prohibited from acquiring, possessing, and carrying firearms and ammunition, as well as truncheons or stabbing weapons. Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority.

Well, we know what they had in mind...

This message is in response to a newspaper article reporting that you wish for Australians to "dob in" their neighbors or associates who own guns.

The suggestion is reprehensible. It indicates either fear or an intent to dominate your citizens. In any case, it mirrors the policies of Nazi Germany in the late 1930's.

At one time a friend of mine was married to the daughter of the mayor of Perth. This was in the early 1970's. At that time, from speaking with my friends, I was impressed with the attitudes of your country and was even chagrined that at the time, Australia had a restriction on immigration.

The stories my friends told me made Australia sound like a marvelous place.

A policy of wishing citizens to turn other citizens in to authorities for non-violent acts is beneath contempt.

This is indeed a sad time for what was once a spirited country. May you live to need help from the types of reprehensible citizens you seem bent on cultivating.

OK I responded with the above msg. I notice I made a mistake in thinking it was Australia instead of Queensland, but perhaps the message will come across.

Queensland is more rural/traditional conservative/non-communist values than the rest of the state. Still pink as s**t, though.

Trust me, if QLD is this bad, NSW etc. are worse.

Just sent:

I recently read with dismay your call for people to turn in their neighbors for possessing firearms. Disarming the law-abiding only empowers criminals and other human predators. Shame on you for refusing to stand up for the law-abiding gun owner who only wants a way to protect himself.

Surely you are not so naive or stupid as to believe your police force can protect all the people all of the time. Before your laws were passed, was any study done of the number of times a crime was stopped because the "victim" had a gun?

If your country is ever attacked, don't you want your citizens to be proficient with firearms?

Or will you be whining for a certain "country with lax gun laws" to save your pacifist asses from speaking Japanese, again?

Sincerely, and with all due respect,

U.S.A. Citizen

Switzerland has an astonishing amount of guns held in private hands,
yet we have a very low murder rate. Coincidence?

They should maybe start thinking why people shoot each other, shoot
themselves the head off their shoulders, or why they go robbing stores
at gunpoint.

What party is this worthless wanker, err. . . Peter Beattie in? Just wondering, obviously Labor AND Liberal suck (i.e. that butt-fly John Howard is Liberal).

Bring back Sir Joh!! Sure, he was a little dodgy, and was mentally incompetent in the last few years he was in; but. . . . he was cool!!
