Can you spare a second for a kind thought or small prayer? My daughter in law is having a pretty rough time. As of this morning, she's been in labor since yesterday afternoon. I'm gettin kind of worried. Thanks.

I'll spare a small prayer and a large groan of sympathy...

These things come in their own time, take heart.

Thanks folks. I just got a call from my son and it looks like they are going to do a C-section. Keep you posted.

Hope all is well and you now have a healthy grandchild and a happy DIL.
Mine took 15 hrs...but when I saw him...wow! It was worth it.

RAE:

Go outside, look up at the sky and realise the immensity of the scheme of things.

Take a deep breath and repeat -- "She's going to be all right; she's going to be fine" -- and then believe it!

My thoughts are with you. When my second daughter was being born, she (the baby) went into tachycardia during the very last stages of labour -- and she was Oxford presentation. Di was less than 2 minutes from a Caesar when Jess "rolled over" and came through like an express train.

She's now 14, gorgeous ;) and absolutely perfect.

Thinking of you and yours

RAE, My wife was in labor for FORTY HOURS (hard labor for 12) with our first. Bleeeaaahhh! Ultimately, she delivered normally. But WOW! 40 hours!

My thoughts and prayers are with you both.

Prayers and well wishes.
