A question on the ban.

Perhaps I'm just a bit misguided, but I thought the ban only extended to the asthetic stuff on my AR like bayonet lugs, flash supressors and the like. THe Yahoo story I just read said that Hi-caps can now be legal? IF that's the case, will I be able to get a few for my Sig? (40).

What of some magazines that are stamped with "for military, law enforcement or export only"? Are they now legal? Am I no longer a felon past midnight?

Replies are welcomed!

Oh as an aside, I heard Mr. Kerry stating that he was a hunter and he saw no use for an AK-47. I had a use on Saturday when a friend and I walked up on a feeder just loaded with hogs. Good gawd we laid them low. I couldn't have done that with a bolt action. :D

So-called "high cap" magazines are available to the general public now, not just for LEOs/BGs any more. I just finished ordering some 14 rounders from CZ for a P01.

Yes.

Q: Are SAWs and LCAFDs marked “Restricted law enforcement/government use only” or “For export only” legal to sell to civilians in the United States?

A: Yes. SAWs and LCAFDs are no longer prohibited. Therefore firearms with the restrictive markings are legal to transfer to civilians in the United States and it will be legal for non-prohibited civilians to possess them. All civilians may possess LCAFDs.

Yep. They are a quaint curiosity now with no legal standing.
