A question for the Winchester 70 experts?

I just picked up my new Winchester 70 SS Extreme in 30-06. It is a 5+1 capacity gun. I noticed what could be a problem.

The magazine accepts 6 rounds. If you put 6 rounds in the gun, it won't feed the first round. I could see this being a problem if you were to reload the gun under stress and overload it. It works fine with 5 rounds in the magazine.

Does yours do this?

Mine's in .270 Win and no, it doesn't do that. What are you going to be doing that you will reload under stress? Are you military? LEO? If by stress, you mean Buck Fever, only put five in your ammo pouch.

Make a spacer to fit the bottom of the mag or call Winny's CS.
