A question about an old holster

To all the wonderful people of this board -

I have an old holster, which I know is at least 50 old, and was used in Israel's independence war (48). The thing is that my guess is that it is older than that becasue it has bullets holes on it's side - meaning holes to hold single bullets. when did people last use single bullets in guns.

in any case here are 2 photos and I would be happy if any of you wonderful people could give me an estimate of how old it is..

"when did people last use single bullets in guns?"

We have never stopped!

It's likey a revolver holster, not particularly well made in my view and shows damage such that it is likely not fit for use. Perhaps display. My guess is your holster is worth its weight in leather. If it was used by a relative I'd hang on to it as an heirloom though.

Regards & welcome!
