A pretty good deal...CZ-97B SA

I recently picked up a CZ-97B for $489.00 I was not too excited about the trigger. I'm kinda picky about triggers these days and really like a smooth one which breaks clean...a friend recommended contacting CZ-USA and ask about the SA only conversion.
I had Mike @ CZ-USA install a champion: sear, trigger & hammer. The total conversion ran $145.00.
The gun now is a DREAM.
I took it to the farm and found it shoots so nice with the new trigger. It is deadly accurate and so smooth!
Anyone looking for something different than a 1911 in a full size semi-auto might consider this gun. I'm certainly very satisfied!

Hmm...I don't see why they couldn't do it for the CZ-75. But they DO make a single action only CZ-75, you know.

Now, if they'd only make an ambi safety for the CZ-97SA, like they do for the CZ-75SA...

Shmackey,
I had CZ-USA convert my 75B to SA only, but it was not near as much, I think $75.00 ???? You can call and ask Mike. I really like my converted 75B. Shoots like a dream!
Nightcrawler,
Yep, I'd love an Ambi-Safety...I'm a lefty. I had one put on my Tactical and really like it!
I also would love to have the dual leavers on the 75B...but since mine was a converted unit, it does not have the other safety.

I want a CZ-97, Von Fatman. Is the lack of a lefty safety really an obstacle? It seems to me that a hard to reach safety would be okay for the range, and if I were going to carry it'd be hammer down anyway...

Nightcrawler,
No way would I pass it up...but for sure I'd heft one...it's a heavy ol' girl!
The ONLY gun I have set up with any "lefty feature" is my H&K Tactical...I have never really had a problem adjusting in a "wrong-handed" world.
If you are any where near KC, you can try mine first.
I went out to the range at my farm the day I picked it up...I have a gong (a cut off oxy. bottle) and from 35 yards, I placed 49 of 50 on the gong...that was a nice start!
You need to be sure the grip and weight is ok first!
