A pain in the Brass

Just purchased my first auto-loader 2 wks ago, a Taurus PT-99, shoots great. Being an avid reloader, I am going to pick up my 9 mm dies this week end and have at it.

The question is- Does anybody have an easier way to collect your brass ? I am tired of crawling around on my hands and knees picking up these little raskels.

thanks

That's why I refuse to reload 9mm, I'm too lazy to pick it up, and too cheap to pay my son to do it. I have seen those little nets that attach to your wrist and catch the brass, but that looks really destracting.

It depends on where you shoot. I shoot at my house at a range
I had built. I buy black plastic sheathing (sp?) at Lowes. Fire a few rounds and find where they drop. Cut an oversize piece of plastic, secure it with some rocks, and your good to go. If you shoot at a public range then I'm not much help:) Even though 9mm is cheap I still enjoy reloading it. Take Care

If you're shooting stationary you can see after a few rounds how far your brass is going and get a big cardboard box and put in the general area. It'll catch most of it.

Or

you could just stand close to someone else on the range and pick the brass out of their shirt collar...

When I was taking my CCW class, the gent next to me had a Walther PPS. That blasted thing launched brass into my left temple with bruising force. I didn't have to worry about revenge though, the gent managed to get his thumb behind the slide a couple of times when he pulled the trigger...

On a more serious vein

... a broom and a hinged stand-up dustpan work wonders. This is what my indoor range uses and it works quite well.
