A movie recommendation: Michael Collins

Just finished watching it. While the cast is competent, it is not quite remarkable.
Now, filming, props, editing, all other elements make it supurb. Sound work is marvelous.

And, for the TFL tastes, most weird and well-shown collection of small arms ever assmbled in one film...MP18, all sorts of pistols, multiple valiants of Lewis MGs...and all competently handled.

The best part was when Michael Collins got mad at his guys for shooting the british cop too many times, Didn't they know that bullets where hard to come by? It was a pretty good movie.

I am not sure if the history is 100% accurate, but the less savory aspects of civil war and urban combat are well represented.

Does anyone know what really provoked Bloody Sunday?

Oleg,
I'm sure that depends on whether you ask an Irishman or an Englishman! Good movie. My wife even liked it.
