My message(s) to Senators Rand Paul and Mitch McConnell:
I believe in my heart that you stand behind your oath...
"I do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God."
It is clear to me and so many other americans that members of Congress can and do let their own agenda and the blind emotions of others take precedence over what they are sworn to do. As you stand behind your oath, I would simply ask that as you perform your duties for the people of KY and of the United States, you remind your fellow congressmen, women and the President of these United States of America to do the same without perjury or prejudice.
Thank you,
We the People.
Probably could have been better.. but better (to me) than a cut and paste or worse yet... silence.
