A little fun I had on a liberal bulletin board last night...

I was surfing, and came across a board populated by liberals...

They were screaming about how they would NEVER view Bush as a legitimate president and that they were so mad they could bite nails.

So I decided to issue a call to arms to see if they were stupid enough to bite, so I posted the following...

"We MUST make it clear to our elected Democrats in Washington that they must NEVER, EVER work with George W. Bush! If you have a Democrat as your elected Senator or Representative, WRITE to him or her today!

Be sure to say the following!

--That you do NOT accept George W. Bush as President of the United States.

--That you demand that your Sen. or Rep. NOT work with George W. Bush or the thieving Republicans on ANY topic!

--That if your Sen. or Rep. works with Bush or the Republicans on any Republican initiatives, you will make it your personal cause to opposed him or her during the next election cycle.

We can make our outrage felt through a boycott of the process of government, and let Bush know that he can shove his "national healing" where the Texas sun doesn't shine!"

It went on like this for a few more paragraphs.

You know what? These idiots were actually buying it! I was getting all kinds of support, and the people who were voicing opposition to it were getting slapped down!

Is it my imagination, or is your average liberal dumber than a box of very dull, very dirty rocks? :D

I can only hope that the Democrats cause complete and total gridlock in Washington until the mid-term elections. That sort of tactic would virtually guarantee that the mid-term elections would result in big gains for the Republicans.

Oh my, I do dearly love being an agent provocateur (sp?) at times. :)

It shows that they are meaner and more vindictive than anyone on their side would want us to believe.

Go to the http://www.brillscontent.com boards for another dose. There are a couple conservo-libertarians doing battle with the arch-leftists there. It ain't pretty.

Rick

Mike Erwin, what you posted was exactly what some conservatives have been vowing to do if Gore won. It's not surprising that many liberals feel the same way as conservatives would if Gore had won. And you're hardly the first one to suggest this on the liberal side. (Commondreams' headline after the court decision was "Hail to the Theif")

Of course, I would be fighting against either of their idiotic policies. :)

Joe-
I suspect that Mike didn't post the link for a reason: He would no more wish to use TFL as a vehicle for spamming other Boards than I would.

Thank you for the circumspection, Mike.

I'm sure that if Gore had stolen the election like the liberals think that Bush did, that there would be plenty of gnashing of teeth from our side as well.

We would do well to give the liberals a few weeks to get this anger out of their collective system. For the greater good and unity of our country, of course.

Nuthin' makes a liberal (or conservative for that matter) madder than staying above the fray and not wavering from the High Road. :)

Yeah except the Liberals never stay above the fray. They know what's best for you and by God they're going to do it for you whether you want them to or not-by force if necessary.

Conservatives just want the government to leave them alone.

Rich,

Who said anything about spamming? I always thought that TFLers were a cut above that sort of thing anyway. A few people going over there to politely debate is not spamming IMHO.

RickD:

Thanks for the link. I didn't post, but reading their topics makes me realize that these folks are not to be engaged in dialog. It would be useless. They live in a different world. Go to the site and look at the topics in their message board. I can see why they are so mad, they have crazy expectations based upon a shared genetic defect. I believe it is a mass mutation of the logic gene. It is a bit scary!

I didn't post the link simply because I was posting from home, and quite frankly I don't remember which one of the boards I was on.

I haven't been able to check what's been going on with it today, but I suspect it has either burned out completely as realization SLOWLY dawns on them what a terrible idea this would be, or it has snowballed into a national movement. :)
