Something a little different.. Its snapper season here in Melbourne Australia, so i have put the rifles away for a little while and the rods are out. I have been going fishing for years with dad and uncles. We have a couple of boats in a private club at Williamstown..

So now we are HUNTING the BIG Red Snapper. This is a couple of fish caught yesterday morning by a friend Mick. They weighed in at 11lb 7oz and 10lb 11oz.

I was out and only got small fish to about 3lb.. Its a little different hunting but i love my fishing and thought you guys from the states would like to see the local catch..

The back ground behind Mick is some of our boats at the club. One of mine is the one in the far ground with the blue canopy.

nice catch, how do they taste? good fight i bet. a boating club on the other side of the world named williamstown cool. thats the same name of town i'm here in ,in the U.S.

Damn fishermen are overrunning this place.:D

I keep a disposable camera on my little boat. There are times I wish I would risk having a digital one, but my wife would fillet me if I lost her precious camera. I've boated a couple 6 pound black bass. Nothing to really brag about, but sum honkin huge fish fer the waters we work.

Nice huntin!

They are a great fish to eat, to be honest i am baking some now with a little olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, salt and peper and parsley. The bigger ones can geta little dry but the little ones are awesome to eat....
