A lighthearted fashion question

I was wearing my tan shoulder holster with a black shirt and didn't like the look. Does anyone take style into consideration when arming themselves?

No, because I carry concealed, and I'm not enough of a fashionista to worry about coordinating elements that nobody but me will ever see.

Are you kidding?! Guns go with anything and no, your holster and shoes don't have to match but it's ok if they accidently do. Mens fashion has different rules than lady fashion. :)

I suppose the more your stuff match, the more you may be mistaken for a cop. Might be good for a free donut?

Don't let em give ya any grief Wagonman,,,

It's like Mr. Gibbons said,,,
"Women go crazy for a sharp dressed man"

Matching accessories simply show a gentlemanly attention to fine detail,,,
And more than that, without discerning attitudes such as yours,,,
We custom holster makers would be out of business.

Finely crafted leather items,,,
They're not just for barbecues anymore. :D

.

Unless I was a police detective, I wouldn't open carry a shoulder holster. Thus, the color of my shirt would be irrelevant.

There is only one rule to fashion I observe when it comes to leather goods.

Black shoes, black belt, black leather holster. If you have brown shoes then it's a brown belt and brown holster.

The rest in my opinion is up for grabs.

If I want to be stylish for a more upscale occasion (such as a nice dinner in a finer establishment), I'll holster my 460V with .45 Colt rounds because a revolver is in my mind classy unless you just have a classy tastefully decked out pistol of another type then by all means, holster it and enjoy the evening.

If it's casual I may holster my XD-40 or my 1911.

As for me I commonly like wearing things with black in them because it contrasts nicely with other colors and I'm the son of two artists so I'm just like that. :)

Galco used to havea very expensive shoulder rig for Wather PPKs, the Executive, I think it was called, sharkskin and gold plated metal.
I make sure my holster matches my gun, bad juju try to stick a Smith 10-8 into a P01 rig...

I wouldn't worry about it too much... I doubt many people are going to openly criticize your color scheme while your wearing a weapon.

It's that Johnny Cash look,,,

I only buy clothes that match up with my black shoulder holster.

That does simplify the wardrobe selection,,,
But does nothing to keep my holster-making income flowing.

Do you at least have casual, dress, and formal holsters?

.

I prefer wearing my Miami Classic shoulder holster with a pair of camo cargo shorts and a white "wife beater" t-shirt.

It's classy ;)

I'm generally acknowledged to be the style expert here.

My rule is...dont clash...

Thus when I am wearing black knee socks and black penny loafers with plaid shorts (blue or red) I choose a black holster.

When I am wearing a white fundoshi, white platform flip fops and a white halter, I again, chose black as my accessory.

Patterned thongs are tough. I have a Hello Kitty one which is red and black, so again, I generally seek black holsters especially when wearing the latex thigh highs which match my thong.

Those are my more formal looks. With denim daisy duke shorts and a white midriff blouse, I choose brown.

Thanks Wild. Just what I needed to take into the weekend.

Anybody got some brain bleach or mental floss? I really need that picture in my head gone.
