I don't need to tell this audience the long and shameful record of Ted Kennedy regarding the RKBA, and individual freedom in general. But this year, he's in for the fight of his life. Carla Howell, running as a Libertarian, has gathered TRIPLE the signatures needed to get on the ballot. The Republican who was trying to get on the ballot, I don't know if he succeeded or not, but he is not a serious candidate anyway. So it is a two way race, and Carla has an EXCELLENT chance of winning. But, Kennedy has a huge war chest, and can count on tons of special interest and union contributions.
It's time for all people who believe in freedom and liberty to step up. The shock waves of a Libertarian beating a Kennedy in Massachusetts would be a MAJOR victory for us. Carla is a strong RKBA, and has the endorsment of the MA Gun Owners Action League. She can win, but she needs money, money to push her message through the noise that Kennedy will no doubt use to try and drown her out. I have contributed $350 so far to her, and will send more as I get it, with the goal a contribution of $2000 (the legal max). If the RKBA is important to you, send as much as you can afford. More, tell people who are not on this forum, or the internet, and convince them to contribute also. With W. in the White House, and Carla in the Senate, we can make up a lot of lost ground.
