Well, reading and looking and shooting a lot makes me itch for something I don't have... A revolver. I've never been much of a fan of wheelguns, tho I do respect them. I've always preferred autos, and will likely shoot them a majority of the time.
Well, I'd like to find me a revolver, mostly something to just plink with, maybe with adjustable sights for target shooting. Something to keep loaded in the nightstand instead of my favorite auto, so I can keep my precious locked up!
I'd prefer a .357, so I can shoot .38spl through it, but since I'd likely stick to shooting .38spl, a .38 would do just fine. Standard 6 round capacity is fine
I'd like at least a 4 inch bbl, if not 5 or 6 inches.
Finish is not too critical, it would be a shooter, not a looker for me.
transfer bar would be desireable (I gather that's what it means when the actual firing pin is NOT on the hammer)
PRICE. since it's not going to be a looker, and will likely only be using it for plinking and informal target shooting, I'd like something inexpensive. Under $200 would be great. I think someone mentioned the retired police issue .38s go for around $150.
Any suggestions or comments are welcome! I'm looking forward to finding a decent wheelgun and hope I enjoy shooting one!
