A couple shotgun related questions

1. What type of slugs are most commonly used in law enforcement (for patrol shotguns, not door busting)? Are any particular brands more prevalent than others?

2. What choke should be used to achieve the tightest possible groups with buckshot?

!. Here in SC, it's usually an individual who is actually thinking though his options that carries slugs. If cop shop stocking levels are any indicator, Remington seems ahead.

2. I've found that Modified works best with OO and OOO, full choke generally limits you to O and smaller (#1, #4) but every shotgun is an individual. I've witnessed Cylinder bore shoot great groups with OO and Modified throw #1 into a bucket at 15y. Test your SG accordingly.

Agreed. Mine shoots tightest groups with 00 with my Mod choke. Full starts opening up the patterns again, probably due to deformation of the pellets.

Pattern your shotgun and see what works best for you.
