A Cleaning Question

I cannot get the cylinders clean in my rotators. The barrels will clean up nicely after using wire brushes, Hoppes, Break-Free, ATF, and clean patches, but no matter HOW much I attack the cylinders, the final patch, lubed with ATF, will come out dirty. I shoot Bullseye exclusively, but I don't believe that is the problem. The guns are an old .38 S&W M&P, an Astra .357, a S&W Mod. 36 in .38 spl. and various others. The measures I have gone to are truly heroic: I have soaked the cylinders overnite in all sorts of solvents, chucked up wire brushes in the drill press and worked on the cylinders from both ends, and when I rotate the final patch in the holes, DIRTY!!. The guns shoot fine, it is sort of a personal challenge to get the cylinders CLEAN!! Any suggestions, guys?? How about heating the cylinders with a torch, sort of like a self-cleaning oven??
