A benchmark for comparison?

I have read a lot of threads comparing rounds and asking if certain rounds are good enough. I thought about it a while and drew a conclusion: How about the ultimate comparison; will this round out perform a sling shot?
I've never owned a sling shot, so I don't know what their performance actually is, so I tried to searcing for any website that had done any kind of ballistic test. Has anyone seen one?

That site has a few interesting tests for .177 and .22 pellet guns, but nothing on the wrist rocket.
I think it interesting to see that according to how you interpret these ballistic tests, that you might be better off armed with a full auto BB gun than with a pistol loaded with .410 birdshot.
Off to check something, be right back.

I have fired .45 cal. lead balls with a wrist rocket. It looks like they go down range at ~250 fps.

They will penetrate one side of a pop can.

The ballistic shock alone will instantly kill a starling. One will hear a thuk... gawk! And then the bird falls to the ground with no apparent wound.

I assumed that the lead ball in question was 165 grains, and at 250 fps would be almost 23 ft/lbs of pressure. Hmm... time to play with a muzzle velocity calculator.
