Great, uplifting reading about the Jarbridge road clearing event -- LOTS of pictures and dialogue, so please go to the site:

The FreeRepublic has this article and photos also, ( http://www.freerepublic.com/forum/a396457772783.htm#1 ) along with these Q/A posts about the Forest Service's arrogance (emphasis mine):
"Q: Did the gov't send in heavy equipment to "close" the road after the washout?"
A: Joe, YES! After the county started opening the road after the forest service promised to do so, and defaulted, the feds spent over 450,000 dollars to "repair" the damage done by the county. Their "repair" included dumping all of the debris that thw work party removed. Including the boulder. They had tracked backhoes for their "repair" work. Maybe somebody will post the site where they have pictures of the equipment in action. Peace and love, George.
A: George, as far as I know there are no pictures of the Forest Service destroying the road and you just had to see what a mess they made. This pile of debris was HUGE. Word is out they plan to do it again. This time it will be recorded, if at all possible."
