9mm with good sight radius????

I need some constructive guidance here. I am in the market for ONE 9mm auto. This would be my "all purpose if the s*&t hit the fan WW III pistol." Basically, though I just want it for personal defense and range work. I am a revolver nut (Ruger KGP-141 .357 Magnum), so that is why I only want one.
I am currently looking at Ruger's P94 and P95, both of which are really great guns. I am also considering the SIG P239. Here is where the fun begins. First off, I am sort of on a budget. Second, although I DO like the SIG 239, I have bad eyes and I know that as I age, they aren't apt to miraculously get better. I am just wondering if the SIG has a long enough sight radius to facilitate good shooting/accuracy when I get older. OR would I be better off buying one of the Ruger's? OR should I be looking at something else entirely?
So all of you 9mm shooters out there who have "corrected vision" (glasses, contacts, etc) please help! Am I making "much ado about nothing" with the SIG?

if you are on a budget AND interested in a single stack SIG 9mm then I'd go with one of the 225 packages that are floating around out there, i used to own a 239 in 9mm and could not shoot well with it, i now own a 225 that came with 3 mags, k-kote finish and night sights NIB for well under 500 out the door, it is hands down the most accurate, easy to shoot 9mm i have ever shot, it is in the top two of my personal collection in the accuracy department, simply awesome

I too recently chose one 9mm service pistol as a "backup", and it was the CZ75B. bought a few hi-cap mags, set of night sights and a triggerjob to boot, total was around $500.

If you like Sigs in 9mm, and youre on a budget, might I suggest a police trade-in 226? AIM has them for $379.95ea with one 15rnd mag.

BTW, they also have some israeli surplus FN MK3 Hi-Powers (arguably the finest 9mm ever made) for $279 with two 13rnd mags, a IWB holster and mag pouch. Plenty of sight radius there! Hmmm....must resist...urge to buy getting stronger...stronger... :)

I am having Williams FireSights added to my P95. Not only are the light-gathering fiber optic sights easier to see, the back sight slopes backward like a Novak and gives me about an extra 1/2 inch of sight radius.

I went through a shopping process very similar to yours. I wound up purchasing the FEG PJK-9HP, which is a Hungarian clone of the legendary Browning Hi-Power. It has good stock sights (and good sight radius), is very accurate and reliable. I paid around $220. I have seen them from $199 to $250. Mine has 1-2 thousand rounds through it now, and my admiration for it increases. Trigger has smoothed out nicely. With the 17rnd KBI mags, I have a high-capacity 9mm that will shoot with the best of them at a great price.

Another important benefit--it is parts-compatible with BHP, which means that there will be as good availability of repair/replacement/accessory parts as most any other pistol. That could be importnat if TSHTF.

Ruger P95 - Max $300 NIB, probably less, as accurate for your purposes as anything you can buy, can use 15 rd mags or less, will handle virtually any kind of ammo, almost indestructible. You can add any kind of sights you want. This "old timer" wouldn't trade mine for any of the Sigs, Glocks, etc. Give me the good old, down and dirty, get-the-job-done, P95. ;)

Good luck in your search.
