What do you prefer to use and shoot at the gun range 9mm or .45 ???

Im planning on getting a jericho 941 but not sure if i should get in in 9mm or
.45 cal
I'd rather get it in .45 since i have 9mm . Let me know guys if you have more fun at the gun range shooting with 9mm or .45

I would probably have the same amount of fun shooting either. 9mm is cheaper though but I'd probably shoot more so that may not actually save me any money.

I really like the 45ACP and enjoy shooting the cartridge,to keep my ammo cost down I cast my bullets and reload my rounds on a dillon rl550.

OP asked what you prefer at the range.

Not what is best for stopping mall ninja death squads.

I like 9mm because it is cheaper. I like .45 because I can see the holes in the target easier.

I shoot much more 9mm these days... Because I sold my .45s...

Back when i made this same decision, accuracy made all the difference for me and i've never looked back. Thirty years ago, there were no 9mm pistols shooting 1" groups at 15 yards. My Gold Cup could easily manage that so i went 'all-in" on .45 and never regretted it. Had a few trades of 9mm and other calibers along the way but they don't stay long. The push of a 1911's recoil and hitting what I'm aiming at has always had magic for me. So my vote goes with .45ACP.

For folks that do not reload, definitely 9mm. .45ACP is about $10 or more per box of 50. Actually, for 9mm it really doesn't pay to reload at the current prices.
