I see Para makes the 18-9 and then I understand you can find a high cap mags for 38 Super for these guns, so........can a 9mm 18-9 be converted to 9 X 23? It would seem a spring and barrel change would reticify this?

If I understand correctly a 18-9 was never produced in 38 Super but it is an easy conversion. So from there I assume a 9 X 23 would be possible.

Para Ord P-18 Conversion

I almost bought one, then decided why?
The 9X23 conversion is easy, order a reamer from brownells and ream the Para barrel and run a 10mm recoil system.
I tryed a Witness .38 Super conversion to 9X23 but had problems with primer wipe plugging the firing pin hole, solved the problem by using handloads with small rifle primers.
Why not the P-18 for me? The P-16, makes a terrific platform for a high cap 10mm.
With the high pressure 9X23 you might well have to get a smith to bush your firing pin to tight tolorance ala IPSC guns..

Alaska Roy, the P-16 to 10mm conversion is interesting to me too. I got some information previously on it from Viescky who has one, and a P-14 in 400 Corbon if I remember correctly. I am just a sucker for tinkering with stuff so this subject interested me some. Plus I do like the look and feel of these stainless Limited's so an excuse to buy one or more is all I need.
