9mm recommendation. (Again!!)

Well, I guess I need to get a stainless 9mm to kinda round off my collection and I figured that you guys know best. As of now I have mostly polymers and 1 springfield stainless. I need to add a stainless 9mm to the collection and was wondering which you guys would recommend. I used to have a stainless 5906 in the past and didn't much care for it so those are out. I kinda would like a purdy one since it's gonna be a ss model.

Thanks,

If you're looking for a true stainless steel 9mm there doesn't seem to be a lot to choose from. There are a few hard chrome or nickel finishes in guns I would term good looking. The ones I can think of off hand would be the Browning Hi-Power, CZ85B, Beretta 92/96 Inox, and the Kahr K9/K40. If you go for the two tone look, the H&K USP compact can be had (there are still a few full sized 9mms kicking around).

Other than that. . . ?

What's wrong with a Springfield PX9130L. 9mm stainless steel full size 1911-A1?
Mine is pretty fine except for the slide serations. You'd thing SA would do something about that!

Why stainless?

The Glock 19, H&K USP-C, and Sig P228 are among
the best CCW weapons. All of them can be had with
a two-tone finish. Also, the Browning Hi-Power
"Practical" model is a beauty; if you prefer the SA style of a 1911.

Me, I like 92fs's in the stainless. But yesterday, I did see a P226 that I think was stainless and it looked pretty good...heavy, but pretty :D IF all you're after is looks, I'd go with a stainless 9mm Taurus...those things clean up real nice. If it'll be a shooter, I'd get a Beretta Brigadier stainless...good luck on your quest :)

I saw a stainless Para Ordinance compact 1911 the other day. Very pretty and the DA seemed very smooth. Don't know anything about the reliability of the model, though. To my hand it felt like it was mostly steel parts. It was a bit pricey, though. Over 7 bills for used.

Sorry I didn't catch the model #.

blades67: :D

My choice would be the Kahr MK9 Elite. I almost bought one today as a backup/deep concealment pistol, but then I remembered I'm broke. :(

If its for carry try an HK P7M8. Can't get stainless, but a hardchrome job is popular on these pistols. If its a range gun, try a BHP or CZ-75B.

A little hard to find but one of the prettiest (and most practical unless you're a southpaw) would be the Beretta Concealed Carry II. It is a stainless single stack with some laser etching on the side.

I have had a kahr k9 awesome gun. I highly recommend it in
stainless. I had it until it got stolen...broken heart. I now have
an accutek bl9....smaller than a kahr. Awesome quality, almost
as nice as the kahr and reasonable cost. Its perfect for a carry
gun....check into what ever you like....buying a gun is some science and alot more emotion...you have to like it. Shoot well.
