9mm loads

Assuming jacketed bullets, the Speer Gold Dot data on Alliant's site is all you need. You do not need bullet specific data. 115 grains is 115 grains.
The primer brand doesn't make a lot of difference either, but Alliant used CCI 500's.

I shoot the 124/125 grain coated bullets for the range. I used the Alliant load data for the 124 Speer GDHP and started 10% below their max and worked up. I also have a buddy that shoots his 125gr cast and he loads a little above the published data for GDHP for his best groups using Unique.

Just as an FYI I can put the same powder load and COAL with a jacketed bullet that has the same profile and the coated bullets tend to be 50-80 fps faster.

If you are going to shoot lead bullets, get a Lyman cast bullet manual.
Start loads from various manuals are 4.3-5.2gn and MAX loads are 5.0-5.7gn (different guns and mix of components, including powder lot number and exact bullet and COL being used will give this type of variation). I would work up 4.5, 4.8, 5.1, 5.4gn and watch for pressure signs.
Always start with the start load in a manual and always check out a couple of manuals.

Primer type doesn't really matter all that much, assuming you're not using Magnum primers, and unless your pushing the outer limits of the load envelope. Do a search with the powder makers and you can get the data...and for gosh sakes buy a manual. Rod

the manuals I have don't list 115gr lead for unique powder most list jacketed bullets or 124-5 gr bullets. Thank you for all the info

Thank you NOYLJ I loaded @5+5.5 gr and am going to stick with 5grs not as much recoil and seems to shoot the same

I thought that 5.0grs was in the middle range? should I drop it another .5grs ?

Like others said, get a reloading manual that has your bullets in it. Lymans is a good start and the $25 or so is much cheaper than a blown up gun.
