9mm Home defense ammo

For my Sig-Sauer P228 I use Federal's hydra shok's; can't
recall if they are 115 grain's, or 124's? Never mind, they
are the infamous "Secret Service Load's". :) :D

In 9mm I prefer Corbon in 115 grains +p.
I like velocity in 9mm, which is why I go under the "standard" weight for 9mm (originally in 125 grains, I think). For .45 ACP I like 230 grains.

YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT?

In my gun are my 115g JHP+P+ (1367fps from mine, 1345fps average from multiple test guns).

Accurate, low flash, loud, fast.

Ammunition that meets the IWBA Handgun Ammunition Specification (12.5" - 14" of penetration in bare gelatin, 13"-16" of penetration in denim covered gelatin) when fired from your gun.

Just about any 115 or 124 gr. JHP. +P or +P+ helps, if it is available. I use Remington's 115gr JHP +P because it is easily obtainable in my area.

My choice is the 124gr +P Remington Golden Saber.
Why?
It expands very consistantly. Low muzzle flash. And low recoil for a +P.

HOME D-FENSE

I USE CORBON 9 MM + P 90 GR JHP FOR MY KAHR P9
40 S & W 150 GR JHP FOR MY WALTHER P99
38 SPEC + P 125 GR JHP
AND FOR MY BACK UP 25 AUTO 950BS WINCHESTER SUPER X 45 GR EXPANDING POINT.

I'M GOING TO TRY SPEER GOLD DOT OUT SOON I HAVE BEEN READING GOOD THINGS ABOUT SPEER GOLD DOT AMMO.

I like Remington 115gr JHP +P because they are available at the local Wally World and they only cost $18 for a box of 50 rounds.

Pro Load 115gr +p @1300fps- the most accurate round I have ever used from my P228 & G19. They use the Gold Dot bullet.
