Anyone using this combo? Looking for plinking load. Thinking of making up tests in 4.7 4.9 5.1 for my S&W Shield. I was shooting a lot of cast in it this summer but picked up a box of Berrys to try.

It's the kind of thing that's very subject to variations as a function of the individual pistol. I'm not sure what "DS" means but Alliant lists 6.3/Unique/115 GDHP as max, so perhaps you should start your "ladder" of reloads at 5.1/Unique/115, and work upward from there? Since Berry's recommends using data for cast projectiles, I'm thinking your top end should be about 5.7/Unique/115, and I'd BET that accuracy improves as you go above 5.4/Unique, but don't be surprised if it does NOT.

DS is double struck for Berrys. I did load some at 5.0 tonite and that was really full in the case but that flake powder can have room in the case. I screwed up the bell for the mouths so they were way too loose in the case. Will correct that and do it over.

Back when I was using Unique with Berrys 115gr rn plated my plinking load was 5.7 of Unique. BIL uses 5.6. I seat to 1.135 IIRC. I would not go higher if I was you.

Would depend what the barrel length is.

I'm using 115gr. Xtreme plated RN with either Unique or Red Dot.

Loaded up the Red Dot for my neighbors XDS 3.3.
Unique I use in friends Hi Power, and my 24/7 OSS.

Thx. Once this weather breaks I will give them a try. My goal is for plinking ammo for practice. I usually use my own cast boolits but found this box of Berrys that I forgot I had.
