Which is easier to find?
Looking for Colt 32 round mags new or good condition used. Not having much luck. Found 2 by calling the usual retailers. Even those advertising in The Shotgun News were out of stock.
CDNN has 40 round Argentine surplus. Anybody tried these?
Searched over at AR15.com without much success.
As always, thanks in advance for the responses.
Take Care

I don't have any personal experience with this but there was a guy at an IDPA match that had converted Uzi mags to function in his AR. He cut a new slot for the mag catch and modified the top of the mag to clear the AR's bolt. Sorry I don't have any more info than that. Also note that he had a lot of function problems that day...

As the proud owner of a colt 9mm---i think i've played about all the games as far as mags go....if you want to convert military mags such as the uzi-stay away from the commercial new mags--i haven't found any of them that work reliably in my rifle--the metal is soft and thin and they are generally undersized so that they rattle around in your mag well-so stay away from them----i've got a couple of mags that i bought during my research and developement phase with mags--one is a south african 30 rounder that works well--the only problem with it is that it is a single feed and you have to have some sort of mag loading tool to load it--i use one from glock--it works ok but is a little too big so you have to round the portion of loader that pushes the round down in the mag so it won't slide off the round when you push it down-------i also got a long curved 40 rounder that i think was argentinain which is double feed at the top-it works fine and you don;t need a loading tool (you knowjust bump it on your leg)..seems like i remember squeezing it in a vise because it was a little too snug for me......if you ever vision having to use this rifle when SHTF buy Colt mags and don't worry about how much they cost because they are worth it----there is a guy in the equipment exchange of AR15 that i think i recall has a bunch of 32's for less than $100.....i think i recall paying 125 for a couple but don't rregret it.....hope this helps.........Dick
