Any ideas if 9mm Remington 147 Golden Saber HP is a good carry choice in CZ-75?
How come no one makes 9mm 147 +P? Corbon used to, or atleast they cataloged it. The Golden Saber's certainly don't have high velocity, but there is something reassuring to me about a heavier bullet. Yes, I do also carry 115 +P Corbon from time to time. Comments??

Probably the best bet in a std pressure 147 JHP.

FBI test series (gelatin):

avg each event

bare 12.8/.66
heavy cloth 10 ft 14.2/.66
steel 14.3/.47
wallboard 13.9/.62
plywood 14.4/.59
glass 10 ft 9.2/.47
light cloth 20 yds 13.2/.66
glass 20 yds 11.6/.46

avg for entire 40 round series: 12.95/.574

The 124 and 124 +P do about 12-14/.62 in cloth.

For comparison:

Fed 115 +P+ JHP avgs 11.5/.50
Fed 125 357 Mag 11.5/.52
Win 115 Silvertip 11.5/.54
124/147 HS 14-17/.48-.50
40SW 180 HS 17/.55
45ACP 230 HS 17/.60

147gr.GS is probably one of the best 147gr. loads if you insist on that weight. The 147gr. 9mm is widely considered to be the answer to a question no one asked though. Most 147gr. loads have a pretty poor peformance record. IMO you`d much better off with something in the 124gr. range like the 124gr.GS or better yet it`s +P version if you`d like your 9mm to have some weight to it. Marcus
