9mm 135gr HydraShok Anyone ?

The 9mm 135 grain Personal Defence Federal Hydrashok seems to have good performance. Reliable expansion, good to excellent penetration, low flash and low recoil.

Seems like a great load for guns that should not be used with +P cartridges.

Does anyone carry this round for PD.

Prefer 115g JHP (R-P semi-JHP) @ 1330+fps.

Don't use the HS, but rather the 135 gr bonded core jhp. Excellent terminal ballistics (exp/pen).

Ya mean the Federal Tactical 135 Chris? Good load. So are the 165/180 40s.

The 135 HS looks good in the stuff I've seen:

bare gel 11.5/.72
light cloth 11/.61
heavy cloth 14.5/.60

Not bad for a slow poke?

Did 1067 fps from 4 in P99. There is also a +P+ LE version IIRC, though it's not really much faster at all; just less flash?
