That sounds like my Great Grandmama in West Virginia. She was in her early 90's and slept with a shotgun by the bed and a .38 caliber revolver under her pillow, God Bless her. May she RIP

My grandma said the same thing and all she had was a 30-30 and a temper. The man who tried to push his way into her kitchen was not a happy man when she levered a round into the chamber and stuck the barrel in his face. He was even unhappier when he got to town and the police were waiting for him.
