9 largo Destroyer

I've been looking for one of these for my collection for awhile. I just really like the idea of a bolt action 9 mm rifle and think that it would be a fun plinker and youth rifle upgrade from a .22lr starter rifle. They seem to be kind of expensive though on the rare occasions when I see them.

What is everyone's opinions on these rifles?
What is the fair market value for a shooter in good condition?
Are they overpriced or is it a good addition to a collection?
Is there any source for one that anyone is aware of?
How feasible would it be to make a similar rifle in 9 Luger?

This just my opinion but, 9mm in a rifle is not vary useful.

It is only accurate out to maybe 100 yards? Can't be used as a hunting caliber short of turning a squirrel into mush!

Can you shoot paper at 25, 50, 75 and maybe 100? Yes but, that's about it.

If you want to add a 9mm carbine then buy a cheap Hi-Point for $225 and call it a day.

Usefulness aside, those were made originally for the Guardia Civil and are of reasonable quality and good accuracy. They seem to go for around $150 or so if you can find one.

There is some collector interest, mainly from collectors of Spanish firearms.

I'd spend $150 without thinking twice if I saw one for that. The only one's I've seen on gunbroker (I know they're high) have been more like $300+.
