8mm Mauser ammunition

A few years ago at a gun show I got some old 8mm Mauser ammunition just for the stripper clips.

Over the years friends and I have debated about who made the ammunition and what kind it is.

It has markings from 1920-45 and has silver colored bullets in brass casses. There are now German markings so we know it's not from Germany.

If you put a magnet to the bullets they stick magnetically.

Any chance this stuff is AP or just steel jacketed? And have you ever seen anything like this? It's not going to be shot.

Almost all European military bullets were/are steel jacket, thinly plated with cupronickel to prevent rusting. Some U.S. military ammo is also loaded with steel jacket bullets, but the U.S. plating is copper-colored gilding metal.
