870P sights

Which sights do you prefer on your Remington 870, bead, rifle or ghost ring? I'm looking at adding either an 870P or 870 Marine Magnum to my 18" 870 Express. How much are the 870P standard and synthetics running now? I can get a Marine Magnum for 479+tax. Thanks!

I like the rifle sights. I have several 20" barrels with the rifle sights and they are quick to aquire and accurate enough for me. I have AO (now called Xpress Sights I think) "big dot" nuclear sights on two of mine and they are great.

I have two Marine Magnums that were bought at different times and places and neither has a plastic trigger group or guard for that matter. Not to say that they haven't changed that, but mine don't FWIW. I have an 870P as well and my Marine Magnums are at least as nice as far as fit, finish, and overall quality as my 870P is. Just my personal observation.

No disrespect, but I do use the search function. When I don't see the results I'm looking for (I could miss something when there are 20 pages of results), or the most recent posts are several years old, I ask a question. I do apologize, seeing 80 different posts on "should I get a remington 870 or a mossberg 590" does tend to get quite, irritating, to say the least. I'll do better in the future.

Not on my new 870P

No plastic trigger group or guard on my new 870P. Mine is Alloy. it may look like plastic and being made of non-magnetic material my lead some to think it's plastic.

My 870P came with the ghost ring rear sight and protected bead front sight.

Dfariswheel ... I just got a Marine Magnum ... It's "trigger group" is all metal.

The only thing "plastic" on the entire gun is the synthetic stock.
