Help me figure out what I have here.

Older 870 WM
Solid shell lifter
30" round barrel (full) / bead
Blue / Walnut
Gold Inlay lettering

What the heck is this and whats it worth? The serial number starts with a "T"

Tournement? Trap?

I couldn't find anything on a gold lettered 870 in any of my books.

Oh yeah, $240., 95% (!):D

Must've been tired last night, I find a gold inlay reference today. Says it came on a 870 Premier.

No dates though. Anyone have a link to a date it by serial # site?

It's a T4274XXX

Nah, no monte carlo comb, no vent rib. The trigger isn't gold either. The barrel is round, no patent dates. Every letter on the gun is inlayed, even barrel except the proof marks.

It sorta sounds like someone used one of the do it at home gold kits where you rub in some gord into the lettering etc to simulate gold inlays. I think one of the kits was called Bonanza Gold.

You're right, Ruger4570. I finally found a number for Remington and it left the factory in 1976 with a plain round 30" full choked barrel and no gold inlay. It does look good though, and is butter smooth with very little wear.

Woohoo! Great deal from a local pawnshop. I guess its a BBQ/shooter both.:D

Thanks guys.
