Was shooting my 870 Supermag today, was shooting slugs fine with 0 problems. Then I put in a low recoil tach buck shell. I pull the trigger...**BOOM**. I go to eject the shell from the gun....stuck, I try again...JAMED! Upon closer inspection it appred as if the hammer was stuck "up"and wouldn't let the bolt slide back. I had to manually press the hammer back into the down position. This has happened before to, what could be wrong and how could I go about correcting the problem? Thanks!
P.S. The first time this happened the flimsy bolt extension (piece of metal that connects to the standard 870 bolt on the supermag to cover the larger hole) was warped and bent. I had to order a new one from Remington. I thought it was that part that was faulty, now it seems that even without that part (as the part wasn't on this time) the gun is still jamming. Why must this 870 give me so much trouble, why?
