870 trigger pins

I took apart my 870 and put it back together, no problem. However, now both the trigger pins are slightly loose. I can move them with just my fingers. Is there some kind of trick to getting them tight? Loctite maybe?

They should be fine like they are, most pins will rub when you remove them and some aren't quite as tight as they used too. Do not use loctite though if they become a problem. Either order new pins which are pretty cheap, or you can bump one end so that it can only be drivin in from one direction only and gets tight. Simplest way is to tighten in a padded vise with the very tip stuck out and strike it with a heavy blow. Only do it once and then recheck. Always drive the bumped end in last last so it gets tight and always drive it out the opposite direction. To keep it simple, drive it in right to left and out left to right and you should be fine.

If you are talking about the trigger guard pins, they are held in by two little "D" shaped springs that fit into the trigger plate pin bushing and the carrier pivot tube. Those springs go to the left. When the pins are inserted, the straight part of the "D" snaps into the groove in the pin. If those springs are removed, it is sometimes hard to get the tension back in them.

You can check what is going on by inserting the pins without the trigger group in the receiver so you can see how the pins are held in.
