Here's the deal.... Left over from a makeover is an ancient utility grade stock for a 12 gauge 870.
At the same time, I have the 870 YE 20 gauge that I bought for my kids, and that they've studiously ignored since. The 13 1/2" LOP is too short for best work for me, and I'd like to shoot the thing since the kids aren't.
The ebarter stock is sound, tho uglier than heck, and has a recoil padd already. I can add a spacer or two and get it to where it fits, but I'd like to know just what I'd have to do to make it work on the 20 gauge, and do it as close to free as possible. Discretionary income is a cruel joke at Casa McC these days.
So, I know I have to work the eahd of the stock down to fit the 20's receiver, anyone know if the stock bolt setup's the same?
Thanks...
