870 Stock Interchangeability???

First off, let me say that "interchangeability" probably isn't a word, but it ought to be.

Quick question: Can you interchange stocks on ALL model 870s--both Wingmasters and Express models?

I know that synthetic stocks require slightly different hardware as far as the attaching bolt, but I'm just wondering about general fit.

According to Remington, all 870 parts are completely interchangeable within gauge.

I've mixed and matched a few stocks and forends.
No problems to report.

I put a police stock set on my 870 Express. The hole for the stock bolt is larger in the police buttstock than on the Express buttstock. An oversized washer took care of it.
