Can someone tell me the pros and cons of the 870 super mag. black synthetic and the 870 express. I have found them both for a reasonable price the super mag. 219.00 and the express for 190.00. Both of them 12 ga. I need help deciding on my purchase.
 
What will you be using it for? That would help you get a better answer.

Just ordered a superMag. If you're planning on shooting at high-flyers then you'll want the 3 1/2. It weighs a touch more than the express but I don't find it noticable.

You will be using 2 3/4" and 3"s mostly. I've heard that you may have trouble sometimes cycling 2 3/4" in the 3 !/2". I don't know from personal experience.
 
The 3.5" guns have extra parts, and a complicated bolt mechanism. More things to go wrong. Unless you use it for pass shooting geese, go with the express.
