870 Police Shotgun - Clay target barrel needed

I have a Remington 870 Police Shotgun with an 18" barrel. I recently developed an interest in clay target shooting and decided to purchase a longer target barrel.

I am thinking about an 870 Express 28" vent rib barrel with remchoke chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells.

Here are a few questions I have for the experts:

- Will the above mentioned barrel fit my 870 Police shotgun?
- Is this the type of a barrel I should be looking for?
- What are the best sources/prices for 870 barrels?
- Is eBay a good source?

Yes it will fit.
It is a very good choice.
I rarely see these at shows in my area. I would buy online.
ebay is OK. I see them for around 100.00 all the time. You have to be careful not to get into a bidding war. They pop up all the time so do not be bummed if you miss the first couple.
gunbroker and auctionarms are good online sites as well.

PS. I shoot clays with my 20" barrel all the time but your 18 / 28 is probably a better idea.

It'll fit.

It's the type you want for clays and hunting.

Gun shows are not good sources anymore. Check the BB at your range, there's always buying and selling going on. Failing that, try your local freindly gun shop.
