870 ghost ring sights?

Looks like I'll probably be buying an 870 in the near future (maybe next week). I like the GR sights that are on my soon-to-be-sold Benelli, but the only 870 GR sights I've found are from Wilson/Scatterguntech. And it seems that $115 is a lot of money for those sights. Are there any other sources?

Thanks,

Dick

I'm sure there are, but here's what I did. Using the front ramp and bead from a slug bbl,and a standard peep sight with the aperture removed, gives you the GR setup at a lower cost. The rear sight base stays on the bbl, but it's not in the way.

If your new 870(Congrats, great choice!) has a bead on the front and you don't want to swap out the bbl, any decent smith can install a ramp of proper dimensions, and either a Williams or Lyman peep.I suggest a little larger front bead that usual, painted brightly, for fast pickup in that big aperture.

Last peep I had done was a Lyman, and it ran about $65 installed on a Model 94.

Most of my hunting and all of my WIHTF longguns have peep sights, a good choice for Md brush hunting and keeping my %^&* in one piece.

Another choice for GR sights are MMC's http://www.mmcsight.com/mmcghost.html

I have them on my 11-87 Police and think they are great. If price is an issue then these may not be for you. They cost some $ but they are extremely well made and work great. You can also get them fitted with tritium to make them night sights.
