870 express for lefties

I am looking at the 870 express synthetic (with the 2-shot magazine extension). However, I am left-handed and am wondering if I will have problems shooting this (i.e. hulls in the face). Has anyone shot the 870 express from the left? If so, what was it like? This will be used for HD, and as such, would this be a significant enough difference to prevent you from purchasing it?

On a side note, is the buckshot from this going to be much less likely to penetrate a wall (drywall) and possibly injure someone on the other side than that of a handgun, notably .357 magnum with a 4" barrell? Thank you!

I too face the same problems. Damn right-handers  keeping everything to thereselves.

It ejects out the side so there was never a problem with it. There was a lefty 870 made before and you might be able to find one. The only problem that I have ever had was the saftey. Buy one, it's really doesn't matter.

Left Handed 870 Express :) (Not synthetic though :( )

I thoght about this at first, fired one (a right hander), then bought it. The shells eject out the side, no real way to hit you. Its not a problem, no real reason to spend the extra time/money to get the LH, + others will be less inclined to shoot it (problem for me) The only impedence is the safety, but for all of my firearms, I AM THE SAFETY so it doesn't matter. Good luck, great firearm.

I am pretty sure you can reverse the safety. I would be careful who you lent this to to shoot.
I know a gentleman who is a lefty who bought a lefty 870, and hated it. He went back to his righty, which he shoots lefty. Did I mention he beat me in sporting clays the other day 73 to 67? I was using my brother's Browning citori O/U, and he used a $200 Express! Gota love it.
My point is, you may not prefer a left handed gun if you are used to a right handed one. You should try and shoot one before you buy one.

If the ejection really does bother you get a bps, ejects down. But as I said before it is a almost none existing factor.
