norinco made a great AK (56s, 84s, mak 90, etc). they definitely earned their rice bowl on them. my brothers sks has held up great as well.
no idea on the shotgun copies though. the used 870s that i find usually cost $100 more. but they are 'more workable' by smiths and can be converted to 3" from 2.75"

I've played with a couple of Norincos but not their 870 copy. I suppose it is like their 1911A copy. For the price you won't get one cheaper but are they quality goods? I recall being at the range when a Norinco M14 copy went south. It went from rifle to junk in an instant.
Each Norinco bought is one less gun sold to support a domestic industry and fellow countrymen.

Not buying SMITH and WESSON does the same thing. Importers are also domestic and hire fellow countrymen.
At least Norinco goes politically correct only when forced to by law, unlike Remington.
Do a search on 'Chinese 870'. I remember a posts that referenced a gunzine review. Not that I would consider a gunzine any better than a used car salesman. Gunzines are even enamored with Remington's built in gun locks.
